About Entrepreneur Magazine

Entrepreneur magazine, which sells over 800 000 copies globally per month, and is the biggest selling business magazine on US newsstands, was launched in South Africa in April 2006 by Entrepreneur Media SA (Pty) Ltd, a media and training company that holds the Southern African licence for Entrepreneur magazine.

Targeted at business owners and key decision makers, the magazine has a 30+ year track record and is published in the US, Mexico, Hungary, Russia, the Philippines, China, India and now South Africa.

“Entrepreneur is a business improvement driver,” says publisher Andrew Honey. “It offers innovative and practical solutions for entrepreneurial business owners and managers.

“The government has identified entrepreneurship as vital to the ongoing growth of the economy, and to the reduction of South Africa’s high unemployment levels,” he says. “The launch of the magazine could not have come at a better time. It provides information that is easy to digest and implement and is very much a ‘how-to’ guide.”

In addition to providing information for businesses of all sizes, the magazine also aims to encourage young South Africans to become entrepreneurs by featuring business leaders who function as role models for those around them.

With a focus on real-life business solutions, Entrepreneur provides concise, hands-on business advice and covers the latest trends in management, sales, marketing, technology and money – highlighting products, services and strategies that will help readers to run better businesses.

Each issue contains columns and features with insights from business innovators who have successfully solved their growth challenges. The magazine also analyses issues and trends from the perspective of the entrepreneur.

“There is no leader in content provision for entrepreneurs in South Africa; we aim to fill that space,” adds Honey. “Business people are always on the lookout for new opportunities. Entrepreneur provides them with the information they need to make the best of those opportunities.”
