I used to be active and healthy, but since starting my own business I’ve become a desk-potato. What can I do?

What many entrepreneurs forget though, is a healthy body and minds are integrally linked to operating a healthy business. Things you can do include:

  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator to your office. Don’t have that option? Use a bathroom on a different floor to yours so you have to take the stairs.
  • Have a glass of water next to your computer. Chances are you’ll drink it simply because it’s there. When it’s empty, take the opportunity to go for a short walk to refill.
  • It’s a myth that you’re too busy to eat the right food. What it takes is a lifestyle change meaning you prepare your food the night before so you don’t eat junk when you get hungry.
  • Stretch. Take a short break from your work every hour or so to stretch. Not only will your body thank you for moving out of a set position, but the increased blood flow can help wake up your brain for clearer thought and more productive work-time.
