300 entrepreneurs from Kwazulu-Natal have the opportunity to attend a free three-day conference on the critical aspects of entrepreneurship. The Entrepreneurs 4 Africa Conference, being held from 25 to 27 June in Durban, will train, develop and inspire 300 previously disadvantaged start-up entrepreneurs and unemployed youth.
Top class speakers, trainers, and experienced business owners are donating their time in order to offer these 300 youth a life-changing experience.
Essential entrepreneurship skills
The conference will cover the following:
- Business ethics
- Success stories
- Managing money
- Ideas generation
- Basics of book-keeping
- The business plan
- Marketing on a budget
- Business legalities
- Pricing and costing
- Business etiquette
- Image and grooming

- Goal setting
Cindy Norcott, founder of The Robin Hood Foundation, which is hosting the conference, says: “We aim to empower these young people with skills, knowledge and an exposure to a higher level of thinking. With this three-day course, we believe that we will be equipping the youth to start thinking of creating their own businesses instead of looking for jobs that don’t necessarily exist.”
