Pimp my Book started in a dorm room, where Mpodumo Doubada was starting a marketplace for second hand textbooks. He would sell his textbooks and those of his class mates to the next year of students taking those subjects.

Pimp my Book is now a successful countrywide chain of campus stores that buys and sells used textbooks. This small business is a one-stop platform where students can sell their used textbooks for cash, and purchase the books they need. “We are also working on an exciting new project for an international market,” says Mpodumo Doubada.
