Founded by Paul Leaf-Wright and Jacqui Hathorn, Leaf Capital is a niche financial advisory practice and advises on mid to top tier transactions, serving organisations that are not traditionally serviced by the large investment banks. The SA Prime Property Fund is structured as a linked loan stock company with linked units that began with a par value of R10 each comprising one share of one cent each irrevocably linked to one variable-rate, subordinated, unsecured debenture of 999 cents. The combination of share and debenture form a Fund unit.
Fund units are valued quarterly by the Funds management, together with independent property valuer’s. A minimum of 90% of net income is distributed to investors on a quarterly period. Investors can elect to receive this distribution in the form of a subscription for linked units or be distributed as debenture interest.
SA Prime Property’s Redemption period is 90 days and is processed at quarter end (end of February, May, August and November). Redemption requests must be communicated with the Funds management prior to the previous quarters end.
