Old Mutual is the largest and most well-established financial services provider in Southern Africa. The funds are a private/public sector joint partnership between Old Mutual and the Umsobomvu Youth Fund – an initiative of the National Government, with the aim to make create opportunities to the historically disadvantaged women and youth in South Africa. Old Mutual’s Masisizane Fund and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) have created an initiative for the development of women-owned and youth enterprises. A key element of Old Mutual’s strategy is a commitment to playing a leading role in the economic transformation of South Africa.

    Hello my name is violet kwagala mogga from south sudan,am a women leader of a CBO called women against poverty, we deal in making bar soap, queen cakes,school chalk, poultry and modern farming, due to the economic crisis going on in our country i decided that there is need to train women especially school drop out girls with local skills to fight poverty. my goal is to expand this CBO(group) to benefit so many,through training s and making available of the raw materials so that women can also be empowered financially. due to financial restrictions i can not do it alone therefore am looking for funds or connections to donors to lift these women against poverty in south sudan

Isivande Women’s Fund (IWF) is an exclusive women’s fund established by the dti Gender and Women Empowerment Unit in partnership with Old Mutual Masisizane Fund. The fund aims at accelerating women’s economic empowerment by providing affordable, usable and responsive finance than is presently the case. IWF targets formally registered, 60% women owned and/or managed enterprises that have been existing and operating for two or more years with a loan range of 30 000 – 2 million.
